Jimmy and I were in the same Cub Scout Den together for two years. I was one of the runts of the Den.  He was sort of a protector of a lot of us. Thank you Jimmy!!  

Jimmy and I went to the State Fair  the year of his death.  His death still upsets me.  

JIMMY WEED WAS VERY HANDSOME>HIS FATHER MUST HAVE BEEN TOO. HE HAD A SISTER NAMED SUSAN. WHAT BECAME OF HER?_HE WOULD SAY HELLO TO ME IN THE HALLS,AND I LIKED THAT. HE HUNG AROUND WITH MIKE RORIE AND JEFFREY REQUETT< THAT I REMEMBER.WHY DO GOOD, NICE people go [pass-on] so early?

Such a tragic early loss!  Jim had such athletic talent andability, a nd a tremendous future ahead of him.  He alwayshad plenty of sense.  Our fifth grade teacher made us gostand in the hall together a lot because we talked to much.Imagine that!

I remember Jim and his tragic, sudden death, during football practice.  He was our first classmate to pass away.  It was sad not to share the remaining years and graduation with such nice young man.
