Comment: Lots of wonderful experiences over the past 41 years since graduation. No regrets whatsoever over life's twists and turns. Many corporate relocations in the U.S plus living outside the U.S for a while. We returned to Birmingham a few years ago after  having been away for 25 years. I still travel quite a bit outside the US.Reconnecting with old friends & classmates over the past few years has been terrific. Working with the reunion committee was a special time. It has brought together a very diverse group of our classmates who will continue to get together long after the reunion of 2010.

Comment: After my fun years at Berry HS, I enjoyed 4 years at Auburn before marrying a fellow AU grad & moving to San Antonio, Texas.  Truly a wonderful place to live, San Antonio became my home away from home for the next 30 years!!  During that time I enjoyed all that South Texas has to offer, made life-long friends, became passionate fans of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs & in my spare time forged a career first in the medical field & then transitioned into the insurance business when I joined 17,000 other employees of the giant insurance conglomerate - USAA - that's headquartered in SA.  I enjoyed an amazing career with USAA, divorced along the way & remarried a fellow USAA'er - my very own King!!  We worked together & enjoyed rewarding careers with a company we've been proud to be a part of all these years.  When time for retirement came, King & I longed to return to the South to be nearer to family, so we migrated cross country & settled in the Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte, NC.  We live on this huge, beautiful lake & enjoy lake living to the fullest, along with the 4 seasons we've missed for so long.  Once settled in our new home, we added a canine "child" to our family - Mac - our 100+ pound Yellow Lab who truly rules our "roost" & adds much joy to our lives.  King's alma mater - Davidson College - is nearby & we really enjoy supporting the college & its sports programs, especially basketball.  With Birmingham only 6+ hours away by car, we manage to work in numerous trips down I-85/I-20 each year to see my family members still living there - mom, sisters & their extended families.  We all share a love of Auburn football & family gatherings are great fun, especially as my many nieces & nephews are now having children of their own!!  Last fall, King amazed us all by winning a Coke Rewards contest which gave me the once-in-a-lifetime chance to lead Auburn's Tiger Walk into Jordan-Hare Stadium before the big Auburn-Alabama football game.....WOW!!!  We met the team & coach & got to go on the field prior to the game, before doing our level best to help our Auburn Tigers ALMOST pull off a giant upset!!  It was an experience only a King could provide......lucky me!!  All in all, must say that life has indeed been truly blessed.
